DAVID COOK was appointed at the floatation of the Group in 1996. He
joined the Copthorne Group as the Senior Financial Officer in April 1988
and was appointed Finance Director in 1993. He was been in the hotel
industry for 35 years and since 1972 has held a number of senior finance
positions. He is the Chairman of the British Association of Hospitality
