FRANCOIS GRAPPOTTE has been the Chairman and CEO of Legrand since 1988,
after joining Legrand in 1983 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to
that, he was Chief Executive Officer of Compagnie Electro-Mecanique
(C.E.M Electrical Works). Mr Grappotte holds a Bachelor degree in Law,
a Master's in Economics and Finance, and graduated from the Institut
d'Etude Politiques de Paris and the E.N.A. He is Member of the Board of
Directors of France Telecom, Member of the Board of Directors of Banque
Nationale de Paris - BNP, Member of the Board of the Supervisory Board
of Michelin, and Advisory Board Member of Bank of France. Mr Grappotte
