Jonathan Steinberg – Individual Investor Group Inc

JONATHAN L. STEINBERG is Chairman, CEO and Founder of Individual Investor Group, Inc. He attended Manhattan's Dalton School before going on to the Wharton Business School. He learned about the world of high- finance at the offices of his father, financier Saul Steinberg. In 1988, he bought the Penny Stock Journal, a financial newsletter, and changed the publication's name to Individual Investor and set about expanding and reshaping its editorial focus. In 1991, Mr. Steinberg decided to take the Individual Investor Group public. By 1996, he expanded his publishing business to include Ticker Magazine, a financial trade publication for brokers and investment advisors. The main thrust of Mr. Steinberg's focus includes the development of individualinvestor.com, an interactive Web site, which offers all types of investment advice. Individualinvestor.com is continuously updated and operates with different editorial and research staffs from the print publication. Content from individualinvestor.com is also syndicated to: Yahoo! Finance, AOL Digital Cities, CNET, Alta Vista and Infonautic's Company Sleuth. Mr. Steinberg is the author of Midas Investing, a book designed to help demystify the stock market for ordinary investors.
