JIM P. WISE is the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Integrated
Electrical Services, Inc., a leading national provider of electrical
contracting and maintenance services in the country. Mr. Wise joined in
the founding of Integrated Electrical in August of 1997 with C. Byron
Snyder, Chairman of the Board and the financial sponsor, and the current
Vice Chairman of the Board, Jon Pollock. Mr. Wise has more than 30 years
of operational and financial experience with several public companies.
Prior to joining Integrated Electrical he served as Vice President of
Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Sterling Chemicals, a New York
Stock Exchange listed commodity petrochemical and pulp chemical
business. Mr. Wise joined Sterling to restructure the organization, and
later played a key role in the sale of the company through a leveraged
buyout sponsored by the Sterling Group and the Unicorn Group. Prior to
joining Sterling Chemicals, Mr. Wise was Chief Financial Officer for US
Delivery Systems, Inc., a consolidation of same city, same day delivery
businesses. He previously headed his own investment banking and
financial advisory firm, the Neostar Group, Inc. Mr. Wise spent 10 years
at Transco Energy Company as Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer. While at Transco he served as President of several
unregulated subsidiaries and sat on the Board of Directors. In that
capacity he conceived and structured the first publicly traded master
limited partnership, and pioneered the use of an ESOP to produce needed
equity in the era of take-or-pay that followed the deregulation of
natural gas. Prior to his tenure at Transco, Mr. Wise participated in
the creation of Templeton Energy, Inc., a publicly traded oil and gas
firm. He also spent 10 years with Houston Natural Gas, the predecessor
to what is now Enron. A native Houstonian, Mr. Wise is married with two
children. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and a member of
the American Institute of CPAs and the Houston Chapter of the Texas
Society of CPAs. Mr. Wise is active in church and civic groups and sits
