Larry L. Deroin – Northern Border Partners Lp (nbp)

LARRY L. DEROIN is Chairman and CEO of Northern Border Partners, LP and President of Northern Plains Natural Gas Company, operator of the Northern Border Pipeline, the eastern United States leg of the Alaska Natural Gas Transportation System. Northern Plains is an Enron Corp. operating company. Mr. DeRoin joined the Regulatory Affairs Department of another Enron Corp. subsidiary, Northern Natural Gas Company, in 1967 as a Certificate Analyst. In 1974, he moved to the Rate Section and was named Manager of rates and tariff in 1977. In 1979, he became manager of marketing operations for Northern Natural Gas Company. In 1980, he was named vice president of the administrative services division. In 1982, he was appointed president of Peoples Natural Gas Company, a former retail natural gas subsidiary. In 1985, Mr. DeRoin was named president of Northern Plains. Mr. DeRoin holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He maintains business affiliations in the American Gas Association; Midwest Energy Association; National Energy Services Association; Board of Trustees, Mid-America Council of Boy Scouts; Board of Trustees, Nebraska Methodist Hospital; and Board of Trustees, Nebraska Council on Economic Education.
