MICHAEL A. OBER, President and Chief Executive Officer of BrightStar,
has more than 20 years' experience in the software and computing
industries. Mr. Ober has served as a Director and as the company's
President since September 1998 and was named CEO in February 1999. Prior
to BrightStar, Mr. Ober founded SCS America, a SAP consulting services
business that was part of the original roll up of seven companies that
came together to form BrightStar in 1998. During Mr. Ober's four-year
leadership as President and Chief Executive Officer, SCS America
produced over 100% compounded annual growth and was ranked the 18th
fastest-growing company in the United States, based on a 1998 survey by
Entrepreneur magazine. Mr. Ober has also held several positions with
Novell, Inc., including Director of Product Marketing and Director of
