Hideto Goto – Nec Semiconductors (uk) Ltd

HIDETO GOTO is the Managing Director of NEC Semiconductors (UK) Ltd. He was educated at Tokyo University from 1966 to 1970 and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Applied Physics. After graduating in 1970, he joined NEC as an engineer. From 1970 to 1985, he was engaged in the device design and development of MOS ICs used for microcomputers. In 1985 he was promoted to the position of Engineering Manager in the 1st LSI Division. In 1987 he was transferred to NEC Electronics Roseville Manufacturing Facility in California, USA, as a Senior Manager of engineering, where he was responsible for the improvement of productivity and new product introduction of Memory and Logic LSIs. He was promoted to Assistant General Manager in the LSI Memory Division at NEC Sagamihara, Japan in 1993, where he was responsible for all new process technology and overall production engineering matters for Memory Devices. He was assigned to the position of General Manager of NEC's LSI 2nd Memory Division in 1996 and was given responsibility for Development, Production and Sales of SRAM, MaskROM and PROM. In July 1998, he became Managing Director of NEC Semiconductors (UK) Ltd at Livingston in West Lothian. He is married with two daughters. Profile
