CHRISTIAN COURTIN-CLARINS is Member of the Executive Board of Clarins, Azzaro and Montana fragrances and also President of Thierry Mugler Parfums and Couture which belong, since 97, to Clarins. After spending a year as Assistant to Export Manager of the Veuve Cliquot champagne company, in 1974 Christian Courtin-Clarins decided to join the company created by his father, namely Clarins. In those days, Clarins' annual turnover was equivalent to the sales today, made in one day. Based on his strong international experience, Christian Courtin-Clarins has opened 110 of the 140 countries where the Clarins is represented. With a keen interest in cosmetic research and the effectiveness of active ingredients of natural vegetal origin, he is actively involved in the development of Clarins products. When Christian Courtin-Clarins is not working, he enjoys most sports such as golf, soccer, rugby and volleyball. But his favourite hobbies are mountain bike and mountain climbing, as it allows him the breathing space that his everyday life cannot always offer due to the majority of his time being spent in large cities.
