CHRISTIAN COURTIN-CLARINS is Member of the Executive Board of Clarins,
Azzaro and Montana fragrances and also President of Thierry Mugler
Parfums and Couture which belong, since 97, to Clarins. After spending
a year as Assistant to Export Manager of the Veuve Cliquot champagne
company, in 1974 Christian Courtin-Clarins decided to join the company
created by his father, namely Clarins. In those days, Clarins' annual
turnover was equivalent to the sales today, made in one day. Based on
his strong international experience, Christian Courtin-Clarins has
opened 110 of the 140 countries where the Clarins is represented. With
a keen interest in cosmetic research and the effectiveness of active
ingredients of natural vegetal origin, he is actively involved in the
development of Clarins products. When Christian Courtin-Clarins is not
working, he enjoys most sports such as golf, soccer, rugby and
volleyball. But his favourite hobbies are mountain bike and mountain
climbing, as it allows him the breathing space that his everyday life
cannot always offer due to the majority of his time being spent in large
