GARY L. WILCOX, Ph.D. is Executive Vice President ' Operations and a
member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining ICOS in 1993, Dr.
Wilcox served as Vice Chairman, Executive Vice President and a Director
Xoma Corporation. From 1982-1989, he was the President and CEO of
International Genetic Engineering, Inc., known as Ingene, which was
acquired by Xoma in 1989. Dr. Wilcox was a professor of microbiology and
a member of the Microbiology Institute and Johnson Comprehensive Center
at UCLA from 1974-1986. Currently he is a director of London Pacific
Group Limited and Pepperdine University. Dr. Wilcox received his Ph.D
from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Molecular Biology
