JOHN A. KANE is Vice President of Finance and Administration, Chief
Financial Officer, and Treasurer of IDX Systems Corporation. Mr. Kane is
responsible for the financial strategy as well as all facilities
functions at IDX. Mr. Kane graduated from Brigham Young University in
1979 with Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees in Accounting. He
then joined Ernst and Young, LLP, in Boston, Massachusetts until his
departure as an audit manager in 1984, when he joined IDX. He is a
member of the Boston Chapter of Financial Executives' Institute and the

Mr. Kane: IDX was founded in June of
