William C. Fraser – Manitoba Telecom Services (mbt.m)

WILLIAM C. FRASER is President and Chief Executive Officer of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. Mr. Fraser joined MTS as Vice President, Finance in 1986, bringing with him a wealth of education and experience. Mr. Fraser received his B.B.A. in 1970 from St. Francis Xavier University and became a Chartered Accountant in 1972. From 1972 to 1981, he held various senior positions in the federal government, including Director General of Finance for the Department of Agriculture. From 1981 to 1986, he served as Assistant Deputy Minister of Finance in the Manitoba government. As President and Chief Executive Officer of MTS, Mr. Fraser provides overall leadership and direction to the MTS group of companies, which includes MTS (the holding company), MTS Advanced Inc., MTS Mobility Inc. and MTS Communications Inc. He also oversees the operations of MTS (the holding company) and its delivery of core services to the subsidiary companies. The departments that deliver these services include Finance, Strategic Planning and Business Development, Corporate Affairs, and Industrial Relations. Mr. Fraser is a member of the MTS Board of Directors and a member of the Stentor Council of Chief Executive Officers. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Conference Board of Canada.
