Jay H. Atlas – Ariel Corporation (adsp)

JAY H. ATLAS is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Ariel Corporation. Prior to joining Ariel in December, 1998, Mr. Atlas was President of the CTF Group from 1995 to 1998. CTF is a consultancy providing manufacturers, software developers, distributors, Value Added Resellers and integrators with strategic planning and program management. During 1995, Mr. Atlas was Vice President and General Manager of Convex Computer Corporation, a $150 Million manufacturer of high performance scaleable UNIX parallel processor systems until it was acquired by Hewlett-Packard. From 1993 to 1994 he was Vice President, Group Manager of Computervision Corporation, a $1 Billion supplier of mechanical CAD/CAM software and services. Mr. Atlas held various management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1972 to 1993 including Vice President, Group Manager, U.S. Channels when he was responsible for $3.2 Billion in revenue. Mr. Atlas started his career at GTE Sylvania as an engineer, analyst and marketing manager from 1968 to 1972. Mr. Atlas received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree in 1966 from the City College of New York. In 1968, he was graduated from the Amos Tuck School of Dartmouth College with an MBA. He has attended leadership programs at the Aspen Institute, Harvard Business School, University of Michigan and Centre d'Etude in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Atlas is a Trustee of the Kobrick Funds and a Director of the Ben Craig Center, a non-profit incubator associated with the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Profile
