JOHN INCH is an Analyst with Bear Stearns & Company, covering machinery
and diversified industrial companies. Prior to joining the firm, he was
associated with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Mr. Inch holds a Bachelor's
degree in Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at the
University of Western Ontario and an M.B.A. from J.L. Kellogg Graduate

CHARLES R. HARRIS is a Managing Director and Capital Goods Research
Analyst with CIBC World-Markets. Previously, he followed capital goods
and auto parts companies at Value Line, as well as served as President
of the Machinery Analysts of New York. Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor's

TWST: John, I'd like to begin by asking each of you to tell us about theapproach you take to the machinery industry, which sectors of the
industry you look at most closely, and whether it is
