MARY ARONSON is founder and sole proprietor of a small research firm
providing time-sensitive products' liability and Washington policy
analysis of tobacco, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and other issues
to analysts of institutional investment firms and Wall Street brokerage
houses. She started her Wall Street career in 1983 as a Washington
policy analyst for Drexel Burnham Lambert's subsidiary, The Washington
Forum. There she began as health care and pharmaceutical analyst, but
assumed the responsibility for analysis of products liability litigation
and tobacco issues. When the Forum closed in 1989, she opened Aronson
Washington Research continuing her analysis of public policy and
products liability litigation in tobacco and medical devices for the
institutional investment community. Before coming to Wall Street, she
worked as a registered nurse in various settings, as a health care
staffer for two U.S. Senate committees (Labor and Human Resources and
Appropriations), as a health lobbyist for the American Federation of
State County and Municipal Employees, and as an executive assistant to
the president of a small urban hospital. Ms. Aronson received her
nursing diploma from Bellevue Hospital, her Bachelor's degree in
Political Science from Goucher College, her Master's in Public Health
from Johns Hopkins University, and her law degree from The American
University. She has appeared frequently as a commentator on tobacco
litigation and policy on CBNC, Bloomberg, CNN, The Nightly Business
Report, Good Morning America and Court TV. Profile
