BARRY N. BYCOFF is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of
Netegrity, Inc., a publicly held provider of security management
software products and services for companies conducting business from
intranets and extranets. Mr. Bycoff was formerly President, CEO and
Director of Netegrity's predecessor company, The Software Developer's
Company, Inc. (SDC), a $60 million distributor of technical software and
hardware. He was responsible for doubling the size of SDC, orchestrating
the divestiture of its distribution business, and from transforming the
company into a developer of network security products and services.
Prior to SDC, Mr. Bycoff was Chief Operating Officer and Director of
MapInfo Corporation, a developer of desktop mapping software. While at
MapInfo, he was instrumental in creating the desktop mapping market and
establishing the company as the leader in this marketplace. He also
spent several years at Prime Computer having held a number of senior
management positions including Vice President of Marketing, and he
managed several business units ranging in size from $90-$250 million. He
has also held senior management positions in information technology,
marketing, and finance at Gillette Corporation. Mr. Bycoff holds a B.A.
degree from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. degree cum
laude from Hoston University. Mr. Bycoff is also currently a director of
Encotone, Ltd., a developer and marketer of acoustic smart cards. Profile
