PETER ORTON has over 20 years of experience at the highest levels of
international television and is respected and well-known in Europe, the
U.S.A. and Japan. Mr. Orton's background in international television
distribution and co-production includes 12 years with the Children's
Television Workshop (CTW), where as President of International Sales in
New York, he was responsible for the successful international marketing
of the popular award-winning children's series Sesame Street. In 1981,
he established the international distribution arm of Henson Associates,
Henson International Television. Working together with Jim Henson, Mr.
Orton spearheaded Henson's sales and co-production activities, helping
to build The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, and Muppet Babies into
outstanding international success stories. Mr. Orton established HIT in
1989 and his original investment was 300,000. His vision for HIT was to
build a successful worldwide distribution company concentrating on high
quality animated programming. Over 1000 hours of programming were built
into the distribution catalogue over the first 5 years. In 1999 that
vision has further expanded and the company now encompasses publishing,
video cassette and licensing and merchandising. Profile
