WILLIAM E. MCWHIRTER is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive
Officer of Peoples Bank & Trust Company. He lists among his many
accomplishments affiliations with numerous professional organizations
including: Vice Chairman, Indiana Bankers Association; past President
Kiwanis Club of Indianapolis Foundation; past Treasurer, United Way of
Central Indiana; past Director and Treasurer, Community Bankers
Association of Indiana. A native of Indianapolis, Mr. McWhirter is an
Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He is also active in civil
associations in various capacities, serving as Director of The Salvation
Army, Crossroads Rehabilitation Center, St. Vincent Hospital Foundation,
to name a few. Mr. McWhirter is in academia as well, notably as Director
of Indianapolis Entrepreneurship Academy, The University Club of
Indianapolis and Masonic Learning Centers for Children, Inc. of the
