Stewart D. Chipman – Aequus Biopharma, Inc.

STEWART D. CHIPMAN is Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Aequus BioPharma, Inc. He is co-inventor of the Genetic Polymer technology, Vice President of Research at Cell Therapeutics, Inc., and a biotech executive with over 15 years of experience in building and leading scientific teams focused on the discovery and development of novel human therapeutics in the fields of inflammation, metabolic bone diseases and cancer biology. As Director of Biomolecular Screening at Immunex and Associate Director, Research at Amgen, Dr. Chipman provided expertise in high-throughput screening robotics and synthetic chemistry for small molecule lead discovery. Prior to joining Immunex, he was Director of Biology at ArQule in Boston. Dr. Chipman received his BS in Biology at Boston University and PhD in Biochemistry from the Boston University School of Medicine. Prior to pursuing his career in biotech, Dr. Chipman was an Associate Professor of Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University Medical School. He has co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed scientific papers and is a co- inventor on seven US and foreign patents. Profile
