ENRIQUE SANTACANA is President and Chief Executive Officer of ABB Inc. and
Region Manager of ABB North America. Mr. Santacana first joined ABB in 1977 and
has held a variety of management positions within ABB. Most recently, he has
been Region Division Manager for Power Products in North America, and a member
of the North American Executive Committee. He has also served as the Vice
President and General Manager of Medium Voltage Products for ABB's Power
Technologies Division in North America. A licensed Professional Engineer in
North Carolina and Puerto Rico, Mr. Santacana is a member of the Institute of
Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the National Society of Professional
Engineers. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from
the University of Puerto Rico, a Master of Engineering degree in Electric Power
Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Business
Administration degree from Duke University. He sits on the Board of Governors of
the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, and is a member of the
Business Roundtable. In 2008, Mr. Santacana was appointed to the U.S. Department
