Mark B. Logan – Visx Incorporated (visx)

MARK B. LOGAN, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of VISX, Incorporated, joined the Company in November 1994. Mr. Logan has held senior-management positions at American Home Products Corporation, where he served as President and General Manager of the company's Mexican subsidiary; Becton, Dickinson & Co., where he was Consumer Group President, responsible for the company's worldwide diabetes syringe business; and Bausch and Lomb, where he was President, Health Care and Consumer Group and also served on the board of directors. Immediately prior to joining VISX, Mr. Logan was Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Insmed Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a development stage biopharmaceutical company. Mr. Logan is a graduate of Hiram College, the Program for Management Development at Harvard University, and was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at New York University.
