THOMAS H. SINTON is President & CEO of ProBusiness Services Inc. In
anticipation of a changing business environment he founded ProBusiness
in 1984. His vision is to move beyond a traditional service bureau
relationship into a strategic business partnership with large employers
seeking to outsource their critical business services: payroll, payroll
tax, and human resource processes. Mr. Sinton's focus on client service
was instrumental in the development of the ProBusiness PC-based solution
that offers superior service and scalability - the flexibility to grow
with clients. His energy focused not only on research and development,
but on client service giving large employers the partnership and peace
of mind to concentrate on their own core competencies, and gain
competitive advantages in their respective industries. Prior to founding
ProBusiness, Mr. Sinton honed his business and entrepreneurial skills by
founding and running several small businesses. He has broad, hands-on
experience in finance, product development, marketing, regulatory policy
and overall business strategy over a 10-year period prior to attending
Stanford Business School. These earlier ventures formed an important
basis for the inception of ProBusiness. He has the practical experience
and the know-how to recognize long-term business potential; to define a
product based on real customer needs, to lead a product development
effort and to grow functional and customer-oriented business and service
organizations. Mr. Sinton holds a B.A. degree in English Literature,
magna cum laude, from Harvard University and an M.B.A. degree from
Stanford University. He received a Fulbright Fellowship to study at the
University of Vienna in Vienna, Austria.
