RICHARD EGERTON CHRISTOPHER MARTON is Chief Executive, Britax
International plc. He became a director of BSG (renamed Britax in May
1997) in 1973 when Griffiths Bentley & Co. Limited (GB), of which he had
been a director, was acquired by BSG. GB was a publicly quoted company,
key elements of which included the Britax mirrors and child car seats
manufacturing operations, which still form a major part of the present
Group. Previous experience has also included the directorship of a City
merchant bank with particular responsibility for mergers and
