BRUCE D. STEEL is Director of Corporate Development at Ambit Biosciences
Corporation. Mr. Steel joined Ambit in November 2002. His background
includes a combination of senior corporate development and venture
finance activities. Prior to joining Ambit, Mr. Steel was engaged at
Akesis Pharmaceuticals, a diabetes therapy company co-founded by Kevin
Kinsella. Previously, Mr. Steel was Vice President of Corporate
Development at application software vendor TheBrain Technologies,
internet bill management provider PayMyBills.com and in the venture
finance division of Imperial Bank. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College,
an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of
