HENRY NORDHOFF – GEN-PROBE INC (GPRO)

HENRY L. NORDHOFF joined Gen-Probe Incorporated in July 1994 as President and CEO. Following the spinoff from Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in September 2002, he was also appointed Chairman by the Board of Directors. Before joining Gen-Probe, Mr. Nordhoff served as President and CEO of TargeTech, Inc., a gene therapy company focused on the potential treatment of inherited diseases, which was merged into the Immune Response Corporation in 1992. Previously, Mr. Nordhoff spent over 16 years at Pfizer Inc. where he held several senior positions in Brussels, Seoul, Tokyo and New York. Mr. Nordhoff serves on the Board of Directors of AdvaMED, BIOCOM/San Diego, Molecular Light Technology in Cardiff, Wales, San Diego Economic Development Corporation, UCSD Cancer Center, California Healthcare Institute and the Board of Trustees of the University of San Diego. He received his BA in International Relations and Political Economy from the Johns Hopkins University and his MBA in International Business and Finance from Columbia University. Profile
