Paul Song – Aris Corporation (arsc)

PAUL SONG is President and C.E.O. of ARIS Corporation. He is a Korean- American, was born in Seoul, Korea and raised in California and Tacoma, WA. He earned his Computer Science Master's degree from M.I.T. and his Bachelor's degree in Electric Engineering from General Motors Institute. Mr. Song worked for General Motors as a consultant in Chicago, Il. In 1989, he transferred to Seattle with Oracle and quickly moved into a consulting sales and management role. Mr. Song left Oracle in late 1990 to start ARIS Corporation. Because of his strong belief in hiring the top people in the industry and in treating his employees well, ARIS Corporation has enjoyed a low turn-over rate and earned a reputation for high quality in the industry. This fact, along with the commitment he has instilled among ARIS clients, has helped the company to expand in 12 cities throughout the U.S. and U.K. and over 800 employees. Mr. Song won the Seattle Chapter of the Korean-American Society's 'Professional of the Year' award in 1994. The following year, he was one of approximately 30 business leaders from around the U.S. APEC/Business Leaders Dialogue. In 1996, Song became a member of the Seattle Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees. In May of 1997, Song won the 'Northwest Entrepreneur of the Year,' Award in the service category. In 1998, Song was listed number 12 in the 'Washington Technology Fast 50' and also was awarded 'The Rising Sun Award' from the Asian Management Association/National Association of Asian American Professionals.
