JEAN R. HALE is Vice Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer and a
Director of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. She is also a Director of
Community Trust Bank, N.A. and a Director of Trust Company of Kentucky.
Prior to joining Community Trust, Ms. Hale was Executive Vice President
and Senior Lender of Pikeville National Bank and Trust Company, Vice
President and Asst. Secretary of Pikeville National Corporation, Senior
Vice President, Commercial lending, Compliance Officer and CRA Officer
of Pikeville National Corporation. She also held various positions
within the organization including Asst. Vice President working in and
supervising areas of consumer lending, including direct and indirect
consumer loans, credit cards, and credit and insurance departments and
Compliance Officer. Prior to that Ms. Hale was a Mathematics Teacher for
the Floyd County Board of Education. She has a BS degree in Business
from Pikeville College and Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers
University. She is Chairman of the Board of the Kentucky Economic
