PIN PIN CHAU – SUMMIT BANK CORPORATION (SBGA) (SBGA)

PIN PIN CHAU is the Chief Executive Officer of Summit Bank Corporation and its wholly owned subsidiary, The Summit National Bank. Summit has been a four-time recipient of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's ranking of the best 100 public companies in Georgia and in 2003 it had the distinction of being ranked the sixth best company. Ms. Chau began her banking career in New York in 1970, with National Westminster Bank USA, where she remained until 1987 in various domestic and international assignments. She was President and CEO of a Chinese community bank in New York before joining Summit in 1993. Ms. Chau was born in Hong Kong and came to the United States as an undergraduate student. She graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She received her MA degree from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and has completed graduate courses in accounting from New York University's Stern School of Business. Ms. Chau is one of a handful of women CEOs of public companies in Georgia. She serves on the board of directors of the Atlanta Public Broadcasting and WABE stations, the Consumer Credit Counseling Service, and Coe College. She is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, a member of the International Women's Forum and the Society of International Business Fellows.
