PIERRE DUFRESNE has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Sico
Inc. since June 2003. He obtained in 1979 a Bachelor's degree from the
cole des Hautes tudes Commerciales, a business school affiliated with
the University of Montreal. After articling for two years at Ernst &
Young (formerly Clarkson Gordon), he became, in 1981, a member of the
Qubec Institute of Chartered Accountants. He joined Domtar Inc. in 1982
where he occupied several positions in the Corporate Controller's
department until 1985 when he transferred to the Gypsum Products
Division where he held positions in finance, marketing, sales and
business management while working in the United States and Canada. In
July 1996, he joined Sico Inc. as Vice President of Finance. Following a
re-organization of the management team and recognizing his overall
management skills and knowledge of the hardware and home center retail
industry, he was appointed, in April 1997, Vice President of Sales and
Marketing. In November 2001, Mr. Dufresne was appointed Executive Vice

Mr. Dufresne: The company was founded in 1937 in Quebec City.
