ROGER MACFARLANE – UTI WORLDWIDE INC (UTIW)

ROGER I. MACFARLANE has served as Chief Executive Officer of UTi Worldwide since May 2000, shortly after which he spearheaded the company's initial public offering in the US. He has more than three decades of experience in the transportation and logistics industry. He has served on the Board of Directors since co-founding UTi in 1995. Previously, he held various executive positions, including Joint Chief Executive, for BAX Global, a subsidiary of The Brink's Company, a New York Stock Exchange-traded company. Prior to this, Mr. MacFarlane served as a director and in other executive capacities, including Chief Executive Officer, for international freight forwarder WTC International N.V., listed on AMEX, before it was acquired by BAX Global in 1987. In 1976, he co-founded Rand Freight in South Africa, which acquired WTC through a reverse takeover in 1984. Mr. MacFarlane began his career in 1970 at Rennies Consolidated Holdings, the leading transportation company in South Africa at the time. TWST: Would you begin with a brief historical sketch of UTi Worldwide

and then give us an idea of what the company is doing at the present

time?

Mr. MacFarlane: UTi Worldwide was founded in
