DR. PHILLIP J. SALSBURY, a founder of SEEQ Technology, has served as the
Company's President and Chief Executive Officer since October 1993 and
has been responsible for the Company's new direction. A member of the
Board of Directors since SEEQ's founding in 1981, Dr. Salisbury from
1981 to 1993 held the positions of vice president, chief technical
officer and secretary. Prior to joining SEEQ, Dr. Salsbury served in
various engineering management positions for Intel Corporation. Dr.
Salsbury is a co-inventor under nine patents in the area of metal oxide
silicon devices and circuits. He is a member of numerous professional
societies, including IEEE, Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi and Eta Kappa Nu. He
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the
University of Michigan and an M.S.E.E. and a Ph.D. from Stanford
