G. THOMAS MCKANE has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of A.M.
Castle & Co., since 2004. He was President and CEO of A.M. Castle from
2000 to 2003. Prior to joining the company Mr. McKane was Senior Vice
President of Emerson Electric Co. He was employed for over 30 years by
Emerson, its subsidiaries, divisions, and joint ventures, including the
following: Chairman and CEO, EGS Electrical Group; President and COO, SB
Power Tool Co.; President Skil Corporation; President of Ridge Tool Co.
and President Louisville Ladder Co. He was Vice President and General
Manager of Electro-Air Co. in 1968. He received an MBA from Harvard
University in 1968 and a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue
