JAMES BAZET – COBRA ELECTRONICS CORPORATION (COBR)

JAMES R. BAZET, President and CEO of Cobra Electronics Corporation, is a seasoned executive and turnaround advisor with experience in a variety of consumer product industries. During the past 20 years, he has engineered and managed more than a dozen successful turnarounds. His proven track record in corporate renewals spans a variety of global industries in the US, Canada, Asia and Europe. He has often served as chief executive for his clients. Under his leadership, Forbes magazine named Cobra one of the Best 200 Small Companies in America in both 2000 and 2001. Prior to joining Cobra, he had served as Chief Executive for other well-known consumer products companies such as Ryobi America and Code-A-Phone Corporation. He holds a BS in Finance from Nicholls State University in Louisiana. In 2002, he was honored as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young for the Greater Lake Michigan area, and was inducted into the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in November 2002.
