DAN W. GLADNEY, President and Chief Executive Officer of Compex
Technologies, Inc., joined the company on September 3, 2002. He has 24
years of medical device experience. Most recently, he held the position
of President and CEO at Acist Medical Systems, Inc., from 1996 to 2001,
a manufacturer of high tech cardiovascular devices. He successfully sold
Acist Medical Systems to Bracco s.p.a., an Italian pharmaceutical
company, in July 2001. Prior to that, he held executive management
positions at Cardiotronics, Baxter/Endomedix, Karl Storz Endoscopy and
The Kendall Company. Mr. Gladney currently holds Board positions with
the following companies: Compex Technologies, Heart Leaflet
Technologies, Incisive Surgical and Neurovasx. Mr. Gladney holds a
Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan
University. He has also completed MBA coursework at Pepperdine
