LINDA MASTERSON – LIFEPOINT INC (LFP)

LINDA H. MASTERSON has been the President of LifePoint, Inc., since August 1996, Chief Executive Officer since May 1997, and Chairman since June 2000. She has 30 years' experience in the medical diagnostic/healthcare industry, with over 25 years of proven performance in marketing, sales and business development, and extensive experience as a senior manager. Prior to joining LifePoint in May 1996, Ms. Masterson was the Executive Vice President of Cholestech, Inc., a startup diagnostic company, for which she developed and restructured the company business strategy. During the two-year period, the company's market capitalization grew from less than $9 million to over $60 million. In 1993, Ms. Masterson founded Masterson & Associates, which was engaged in the business of providing advice to biotech, medical device and software applications start-up companies, including the preparation of technology and market assessments and the preparation of strategic business plans. From 1992 to 1993, Ms. Masterson was employed as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales at BioStar, Inc., a startup biotech company focused on the commercialization of a new detection technology applicable to both immunoassay and hybridization based systems. From 1989 until 1992, Ms. Masterson was employed as the Senior Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Business Development for Gen-Probe, Inc., a specialized genetic probe biotechnology company focused on infectious diseases, cancer and therapeutics. While at Gen-Probe, Ms. Masterson developed and implemented the marketing strategy that grew the company from less than $3 million in annualized sales to over $60 million in annualized sales in under three years. Prior to 1989, Ms. Masterson was employed in various marketing and sales positions at Johnson and Johnson, Inc., Baxter International, Inc., and Warner Lambert Co. Ms. Masterson has a BS in Medical Technology from the University of Rhode Island, an MS in Microbiology/Biochemistry from the University of Maryland and attended the Executive Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
