Portfolio Risk Management: Bruce Bittles – Robert W. Baird & Co

BRUCE BITTLES is a Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist for R. W. Baird & Company. He earned a BS degree in business and MBA degree in Economics and Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. After nine years as Head Trader at the options trading firm of Thomas, Haab and Botts in New York City, he came to J.C. Bradford & Company in 1974 to establish and head the Options Department. Mr. Bittles joined the Research Department at Bradford in 1985 where he was Partner in Charge of Market Strategy until Paine Webber acquired the company in 2000. Mr. Bittles currently serves on Baird's Stock Selection and Investment Policy Committees. He provides stock market analysis to the firm's retail, institutional and corporate clients. The focus of his research is based upon studies of the various bond, stock, currencies, gold and economic markets.
