ROBERT KLUPACS joined ES Cell International as Chief Executive Officer
in December 2001. He has over 17 years experience in the industry, and
brings significant business development, and commercialization knowledge
to the company. Mr. Klupacs is responsible for the strategic direction
and day-to-day operations of ES Cell International. Prior to joining ES
Cell International, he worked as Chief Operating Officer at the Monash
Institute of Reproduction and Development where he was responsible for
the Institute's financial, commercial and developmental activities.
During his time at the Institute, Mr. Klupacs spun-out seven new
corporate entities to better capitalize on the Institute's innovative
technology, including ES Cell International. He also spent 11 years with
the Australian biotechnology company, AMRAD, as the company's
Intellectual Property Director. Mr. Klupacs was responsible for managing
AMRAD's corporate IP and legal portfolios, due diligence activities, and
for overseeing the licensing-out of AMRAD's technologies. He also
managed AMRAD's strategic alliances with its member medical institutes
and companies, which included its four CRC's, and the Chugai
Pharmaceutical Co and Kanaka Chemical Co in Japan. Profile
