Fuad El-hibri – Bioport Corporation

FUAD EL-HIBRI is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BioPort Corporation since the company's inception in 1998. He developed an acquisition strategy and led the procurement activities related to the privatization of the Michigan Biologic Products Institute (MBPI), a state-owned biologics production facility in Lansing, Michigan. In September 1998, BioPort acquired MBPI, the sole manufacturer of the anthrax vaccine in the United States. Prior to joining BioPort, Mr. El- Hibri was a Director with Speywood Holdings, Ltd. in London, UK from 1994 to 1996. In addition to his role at BioPort, Mr. El-Hibri is President of East West Resources Corporation in Rockville, Maryland, a position he has held since 1990. From 1986 to 1989, Mr. El-Hibri was Senior Associate Project Manager with Booz, Allen & Hamilton in New York, New York. From 1982 to 1985, he was Manager, Account and Operations Officer for Citibank, N.A., in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Mr. El- Hibri attended the Yale School of Management and obtained a Master's of Public and Private Management with an emphasis on Financial Management and Entrepreneurship.
