Stephen Light – Flow International Corporation (flow)

STEPHEN R. LIGHT became President and Chief Executive Officer of Flow International Corporation in January 2003. He was also appointed to the Board in January of 2003. Prior to joining Flow, from 2000 to 2002, Mr. Light was President and Chief Executive Officer of Omniquip Textron Group, Inc., a manufacturer of extendable boom fork lift trucks, aerial work platforms and hydraulic systems. From 1998 to 1999 he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Bucyrus International, Inc., from 1997 to 1998 he was Vice President and General Manager Operations at P& H Mining Equipment Co. a subsidiary of Harnischfeger Industries, from 1986 to 1996 he served in various positions at Emerson Electric Company's Government and Defense unit, from 1985 to 1986 he served as General Manager of Philips Consumer Electronics' Mexican operations, and from 1968 to 1985 he was at General Electric Company. Mr. Light earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1968 from Colorado State University and has done graduate work at Union College in Schenectady, New York and the Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
