MARK D. PETERSON is the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of
Meade Instruments Corp. He is responsible for all and corporate legal
issues, including: securities regulations, corporate, antitrust,
banking, SEC compliance, intellectual property labor and litigation. Mr.
Peterson also oversees all of Meade's international operations,
including its wholly-owned subsidiary, Meade Europe, located in Germany.
Prior to Meade Instruments Corp., Mr. Peterson was an attorney with
O'Melveny & Myers LLP, specializing in corporate and securities law,
handling mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, venture
capital investments and banking and credit instruments. Mr. Peterson
received a BS degree, with honors, in Accounting from Brigham Young
University and a JD degree from the University of California ' Berkeley,
Boalt Hall School of Law. He passed the CPA Exam in 1990. He serves as a
Guest Lecturer in the Masters of Business Administration program at the
University of California, Irvine. Mr. Peterson also is a member of the
California State Bar Association, America Bar Association, American
Corporate Counsel Association, J. Ruben Clark Law Society and Southern
