MICHAEL D. BUCKLEY has been Group Chief Executive of AIB Group Plc since June 2001. He joined AIB Group as Head of Investment Banking in 1991, became Managing Director of AIB Capital Markets in 1994 and Managing Director of the Poland Division in 1999. He became Executive Director of AIB Group in 1995. Before joining AIB, he was Managing Director of NCB Group, a stockbroking business, and earlier worked for the Irish Government and for the EU Court of Auditors. Mr. Buckley holds an MA and a LPH. He is a Member of the Securities Institute and a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Bankers. Mr. Buckley is married to Anne and has three children. Profile
