John Rutherford Jr. – Moody’s Corporation (mco)

JOHN RUTHERFURD JR. is President and Chief Executive Officer of Moody's Corporation. Mr. Rutherford assumed this position when the firm became an independent public company in October 2000. Previously Moody's had been a part of The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. Moody's Corporation is the parent company of Moody's Investors Service, a leading provider of credit ratings, research and analysis covering debt instruments and securities in the global capital markets, and Moody's KMV, a credit risk management technology firm serving the world's largest financial institutions. From 1998 to 2001 he was President, Moody's Investors Service, from 1996 to 1998 he was Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for Accounting and Finance, Information and Technology and Product Services and from 1995 to 1996, he was Managing Director for New Business Development, responsible for certain diversification activities. Prior to Moody's Mr. Rutherfurd was President of Interactive Data Corporation from 1985 to 1989 and from 1990 to 1995. From 1989 to 1990 he was Executive Vice President of Dun & Bradstreet Financial Information Services (North America), which included IDC and Moody's Financial Information Services Unit. From 1980 to 1985 he was Vice President and Chief of Staff for a group of companies owned by Chase Manhattan Bank that provided computer-based information services.
