Martine Rothblatt – United Therapeutics Corporation (uthr)

MARTINE A. ROTHBLATT started United Therapeutics Corporation in 1996 and has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since its inception. During the 1980s Dr. Rothblatt co-founded the international satellite communications operator PanAmSat and later launched the nationwide satellite-based vehicle tracking industry. In the early 1990s Dr. Rothblatt created the digital satellite radio broadcasting industry by obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals and by starting the companies that are currently providing this service in the US and overseas. In 1995 she endowed the PPH Cure Foundation, which subsequently merged into the William Harvey Medical Research Foundation, a charitable organization that she continues to serve as President. Profile
