Bami Bastani – Anadigics Inc (anad)

BAMI BASTANI has been President and Chief Executive Officer of ANADIGICS, Inc., since September 1998. ANADIGICS, Inc., is a leading supplier of high performance RF integrated circuits used in a variety of high-volume wireless and broadband communications applications. Dr. Bastani has a successful track record in several top ranked semiconductor companies including Intel, National and Fujitsu. In 1980, he joined Intel Corporation as the Senior Device Engineer where he was involved in memory (DRAM) and microprocessor technology development. In 1985, Dr. Bastani joined National Semiconductor (Fairchild) as the Technology Development Manager for high speed BiCMOS processes. He served at National in several executive positions including Vice President, Technology Development, before his promotion to Executive Vice President, Fairchild Semiconductor Division and Vice President and General Manager, Embedded Technologies Division. He was responsible for four product lines and three manufacturing sites within the division. In 1996, Dr. Bastani joined Fujitsu Microelectronics, Inc., in California as Executive Vice President for System LSI Group, where he lead semiconductor business units in networking and processing information for worldwide markets. Dr. Bastani holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas College of Engineering. In 1977, he received his MSEE and earned his PhD in 1980 from Ohio State University. Dr. Bastani has written over a dozen publications on semiconductor devices and holds three US patents in semiconductor technology. Profile
