David Gross – Cryptek Inc

DAVID E. GROSS joined Cryptek, Inc. in December 1996 and has served as Cryptek's President and Chief Executive Officer since that time. Mr. Gross has 40 years of experience working with various high technology firms. In 1969, Mr. Gross co-founded DRS Technologies, serving as its President until he retired in 1994. DRS is a major supplier of digital signal processing and electro- optical systems for the government and the aerospace industry, with revenues of approximately $800 million per year. In addition to the usual activities of the President, Mr. Gross also functioned as the Chief Technical Officer, creating the architecture for a number of digital signal processing products for data compression, communications, imagery and video. During his tenure, the company did an IPO and acquired a number of technology businesses ranging from video recording to optics. Mr. Gross has received awards from the National Security Industrial Association and has served on various government advisory panels. Prior to DRS, Mr. Gross worked at the Loral Corporation. TWST: Could we begin with a brief historical sketch of Cryptek

and an overview of things as they are now?

Mr. Gross: A group of investors and I purchased Cryptek at the

very end of 1996.
