Walter F. Ware – Turbodyne Technologies Inc (trbd)

WALTER F. WARE, Turbodyne's Chief Executive Officer, joined the company as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, effective October 1, 1997. Mr. Ware also serves on the Board of Directors. He brings Turbodyne more than 30 years of management and engineering technology experience, plus business relationships in the global automotive and industrial machinery industry. In his most recent position, he served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Officer of Detroit Diesel Corporation, one of the leading global diesel engine companies and one of the Penske Corporation group of companies. Prior to returning to the automotive industry through joining Detroit Diesel, Mr. Ware served as a corporate Group Vice President and Officer of IDEX Corporation, where he was responsible for three wholly owned subsidiary companies. In his corporate capacity he also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of one of the wholly owned subsidiaries. Mr. Ware was recruited into the Goulds Pumps Corporation, the largest stand alone U.S. pump company, where he served as a Corporate Officer and the Group Vice President, Industrial Products Group. He led the Group's successful turnaround effort over a three-year period that contributed to the best financial performance of the company's 146, year history. Goulds Pumps achieved Fortune 500 status for the first time in 1990 with a ranking of 492. Completing the second full year in 1991, the company moved up eleven positions to 481. More important, profit as a percentage of assets and sales ranked 107 and 134 respectively. In April of 1992 the company's stock established an all time high of $29.38. Mr. Ware's extensive automotive industry experience in addition to his position with Detroit Diesel Corporation, results from more than 20 years with Allied Signal Corporation's Garrett Automotive Group, the leading global manufacturer of turbocharger systems. While at AlliedSignal, he advanced from a solid engineering career through a number of senior management positions within the United States and European operations culminating in serving in positions of: Group Vice President, North American Automotive Operations, Managing Director Garrett Automotive Europe, and Chief Technical Officer for the Group. Mr. Ware is a mechanical engineering graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and holds Master of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from West Coast University, Los Angeles.
