Patrick J. Brockett – National Semiconductor Corporation (nsm)

PATRICK J. BROCKETT is President and Chief Executive Officer of Zarlink Semiconductor Inc. He is a seasoned executive with 35 years' experience in the global semiconductor industry. He has held senior positions in international sales, marketing, and management. Mr. Brockett was named President and CEO of the company in March 2001, and brings the top-level experience needed to move the company forward in the communications IC and ultra low-power medical markets. Mr. Brockett joined the company after a distinguished 22-year career at National Semiconductor. Most recently he was Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Analog and Wireless Group. Prior to this role, he was National's Executive Vice President of worldwide sales and marketing. Before joining National in 1979, he spent 12 years in global sales and marketing with Texas Instruments in Europe. Mr. Brockett is a member of Zarlink's Board of Directors. He speaks frequently at industry forums, including Dataquest and InStat semiconductor industry conferences.
