MICHAEL A. SCHIFF is a Vice President of Data Warehousing and
Business Intelligence at Current Analysis, Inc., and is President
of MAS Strategies. With more than 30 years of experience as a
vendor, developer, user, consultant and industry analyst, he is
an expert in developing, marketing and implementing software
solutions that transform operational data into useful decision-
enabling information. He was previously employed at Oracle, where
he served as Executive Director, Data Warehousing and Advanced
Decision Support for Oracle Government, Education, and Health.
Prior to joining Oracle, he was Director of Software AG's Data
Management Program. At Digital Equipment Corporation, he was
instrumental in formulating the architecture for one of the first
data warehouse implementations in 1984. Mr. Schiff has also held
the positions of IT Director and Systems and Programming Manager.
He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and vendor
events and is often quoted in industry publications. He received
his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from MIT's Sloan
School of Management, where he specialized in operations research
as an undergraduate, and information systems as a graduate. Profile
