MICHAEL J. KOSS is the President and Chief Executive Officer of
Koss Corporation, a Milwaukee-based consumer electronics company
founded in 1953 by his father, John C. Koss, now the Chairman of
the Board. Mr. Koss attended the University School of Milwaukee
and later Beloit College where he majored in Anthropology and
Art, receiving the Theodore Lyman Wright Award in 1976. His
business career began as a copywriter for a local advertising
agency before he moved to Europe as Koss' Marketing Services
Manager for the company's London office. In 1978, Mr. Koss moved
from London to the company's manufacturing facility and European
headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. He returned to the US in 1980 to
become the company's Advertising and Public Relations Manager,
and later the Product Manager. In 1982, he became Vice President
of Marketing and in 1985 was promoted to the position of Senior
Vice President of Corporate Development and made responsible for
the company's sales and marketing efforts in Europe, Canada and
Asia. In June 1986 he was promoted to Executive Vice President
and assumed responsibility for the company's overall operations,
including manufacturing, engineering, finance and administration.
On July 22, 1987, he was appointed President. He assumed the
position of CEO on August 13, 1991. In 1989, Mr. Koss formed Koss
Classics Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary. Profile
