ARTHUR J. MIRANTE II is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., the world's preeminent provider of
global real estate services. Mr. Mirante assumed this position in
1984 and has since guided the dramatic transformation of the 85-
year old firm from a regional brokerage company into a global
multi-service real estate firm with 11,000 employees in 158
offices in 48 countries. As a result of his efforts, Cushman &
Wakefield today either dominates or is a market leader in all of
its businesses. As CEO of the largest fully integrated real
estate services firm in the world, Mr. Mirante continues to
demonstrate his business leadership, most recently in guiding the
firm's merger with the Cushman Realty Corporation. He also led
the creation of C&W's Advisory Group, establishing the most
formidable advisory business in the industry to meet the changing
needs of clients in a global economy and to assist companies in
maximizing the contribution their real estate assets can make to
the bottom line and shareholder profitability. Under Mr.
Mirante's leadership, the firm also has expanded its presence
throughout Asia and South America, increased the number and range
of clients serviced in Europe, diversified its financial services
expertise to include the multi-family sector, and has enhanced
support for and grown its national retail and industrial real
estate market share. In 1998, he spearheaded the merger and
integration of C&W with its European-based operation, Healey &
Baker. Most recently, Barcelona Meeting Point (BMP), the leading
European real estate exhibition and symposium, named Mr. Mirante
its 2002 Best International Real Estate Professional. Mr. Mirante
is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (BS, Sociology,
1965) and St. John's University Law School (JD, 1968). He also
holds an honorary degree, Doctor of Human Letters, from St.
John's University. He joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1971 and
served as General Counsel, National Director of Management
