Energy Utilities : Giuseppe Jacobelli – Ing Barings

GIUSEPPE (JOSEPH) JACOBELLI is the head of the Asian energy utilities and infrastructure equity research group at ING Barings. He is also the primary analyst for Hong Kong and Japanese energy utilities. Joseph is based in Hong Kong though he spends a great deal of time in Japan and travelling around Asia. He received a B.A. from the University of Queensland in Australia and then an M.A. degree from the National Taiwan University in Taiwan. Joseph has been a financial analyst for seven years and has worked for a number of international investment banks including Nomura Research Institute and Bear Stearns. He initially focused on Hong Kong and Greater China and then looked at utility and infrastructure companies around in North Asia. He has been involved in the initial public offerings of infrastructure companies such as the US$540 million offering of Guangshen Railway Co., Ltd.
